Share the Spirit Festival

The Share the Spirit Festival is an annual festival held on the 26th of January in Melbourne’s CBD at Treasury Gardens. Created by Songlines in 2003 and growing stronger and stronger Share the Spirit Festival is an important cultural gathering for local and regional community. 
 
The Festival is a showcases of the diverse styles of music created by Indigenous artists Folk, Country, Rock, Blues, Soul, Funk, Hip Hop Artists all share the stage. Like all of Songlines events the Festival family friendly, alcohol free and safe for all. 
 
Over the years the Share the Spirit Festival has provided many opportunities for artists and community both cultural and economic including traditional dance groups, craft & cultural workshops, cultural activities for children and hip hop workshops for teens and art market stalls. The exposure for local Victorian artists Archie Roach, Tiddas, Kutcha Edwards, Joe Geia, Bart Willoughby, Yung Warriors, Dan Sultan, Benny Walker, Emma Donovan, Philly have all headlined Share the Spirit. 
 
Event partners include City of Melbourne, Dept of Justice, Creative Victoria, Freeza, Koori Night Markets and Craft Victoria.
